It’s happened again. The rain has taken the field, and our players won’t.

We were hopeful. We checked the radar, we crossed our fingers, we even thought about breaking out the hair dryer for the infield—but in the end, the weather had other plans. Every field—Beach, Bog Road, VES, and even usually-drainage-defying Smith—is just too wet to play safely.

So once again, we’re left watching the skies and rearranging the schedule. All baseball and softball games for today are officially postponed. Coaches will be in touch as we work to find makeup dates and reshuffle the rest of the season accordingly.

We know the kids were itching to play, and we were just as excited to see them out there. Here’s hoping for a sunnier Sunday, and clearer skies ahead. Hang in there, York Little League families—we’ll be back on the diamond soon.
